Operation Procedure
The Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage is a patented “pre-procedure” self-adhesive bandage that would be applied to a patient’s skin PRIOR to being given an injection by a healthcare provider for the purpose of containing any post injection bleeding.
Step 1
Prepare injection site with alcohol wipe.
Step 2
Remove Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage from sterile pouch.
Step 3
Hold the tab on the Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage and remove the paper backing.
Step 4
Apply Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage to skin without touching the membrane area of the Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage.
Step 5
Wipe the exterior of the barrier with the alcohol wipe if you touch the center of the barrier.
Step 6
Inject needle through the center of the Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage.
Step 7
Remove and safely dispose of needle in a safe container.
*When the needle is removed, the Inject-Safe™ Barrier Bandage self seals and protects both
the patient and healthcare provider from possible exposure to blood from the injection site
